PRIVACY POLICY
By and Large LLC made this site to share our films and connect with the people who want to tell stories with us. This page explains what we collect when you visit, why we collect it, and what happens to it after that.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Two places on the site ask for information, and both are areas you fill in yourself.
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company, and whatever you write in your message.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address.
The site also gathers some basic, anonymous information about visits, such as which pages get looked at, roughly what part of the world people are visiting from, and what site sent them our way. This is counted in aggregate. It does not identify you and we cannot use it to work out who you are.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
To write back to you. To send you news about upcoming productions, if you asked for it. To understand which parts of the site are working. Nothing more.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone in exchange for money or anything else of value.
WHO ELSE TOUCHES IT
We use a few outside services to help run the site, and your information may pass through them.
The site is built and hosted on Framer. Framer stores what you send through the contact form and the newsletter signup, and provides the anonymous visit counts described above. Framer holds this on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
Some of our pages may include videos that play through sites like YouTube. When that page loads, YouTube and others may place cookies on your browser and collect information about you, including information about your activity on other websites over time. This is Google's collection, not ours, and it is governed by Google's privacy policy rather than this one.
COOKIES
Cookies are small files a website saves to your browser so it can recognize your device later.
Our own visit counting does not use cookies. The only cookies you are likely to pick up here come from the YouTube video described above, and only if you visit the page that contains it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work if you do, though the video may not play properly.
DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers let you send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for how websites should answer that signal, so ours does not currently respond to it in any particular way.
SEEING OR REMOVING YOUR INFORMATION
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at sheryl@byandlargemedia.com and we will take care of it.
Every newsletter email also carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it takes you off the list.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep contact form messages for as long as the conversation is useful to us, and newsletter signups until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
CHILDREN
The site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to sheryl@byandlargemedia.com and we will delete it.
IF YOU ARE IN EUROPE OR THE UK
If you are visiting from the EEA or the UK, you have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to us using it. The same email address works: sheryl@byandlargemedia.com. We will respond within a month.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page. If the change is significant, we will do our best to tell subscribers directly.
